Council Rejects Public Delegation on Term Limits: Sets Tone for New Term
City Council set a precedent this week, voting down a public delegation request for non legal reasons. They’ve never denied a resident the right to address Council before.
They are either giving the middle finger to public engagement or deciding to focus on business solely within their jurisdiction, only time will tell.
What was the request? To suggest they consider term limits.

Mayor Eisenberger will proudly wear his new custom Calgary Stampeders jersey after losing the Grey Cup bet to Mayor Nenshi.
On the agenda: Committee business from the past two weeks, the Gore Buildings at 18-28 King Street East, Illegal Dumping, Coach Canada bus service to Niagara and Kitchener.
And an added motion related to Social Assistance software problems.

Barton Street West Property Looking Over West Harbour Zoned for Townhomes since 1990s: Hamilton's Chief Planner
Hamilton’s Chief Planner Steve Robichaud says the lands at 290 Barton Street West were zoned for residential town homes during the 1990s and the sales trailer that appeared on site during the weekend is permitted.
The site is zoned for townhouses or maisonettes of up to 11 metres (approximately 3 stories) height.
Hamilton Police Services Board Meeting for December 2014
The Police Services Board will discuss Chief of Police Glenn De Caire’s 2015 budget request.
Chief De Caire is requesting a 2.95% increase ($4.26-million) above the 2014 budget.
