Hamilton Design Review Panel Says Brad Lamb's Television City Not Appropriate for Site
No member of the panel agreed with the proposed height, with some suggesting that even 30 stories may not be appropriate for the site.
The proponent has a full development and rezoning application submitted to the City. A date for the proposal to be debated by City Council’s Planning Committee has not been set.

Bay Street North Resident Writes Council in Opposition to Bay Street Bike Tract
Puzzo writes that he is opposed to the bike lanes as it removes on-street parking, he will no longer be able to have contractors parked on the street in front of his house, his visitors will have more difficulty, and the bike lanes are for “a few people that do not even live in the area”.
City Staff Consulting on On-Street Patio Program
The feedback at previous meetings of the Business Improvement Area Advisory Committee was very positive; with many BIA leaders stating there is interest in having more than the current limit of two on-street patios for each commercial district.

Hamilton City Councillors debated the 2018 public transit HSR capital budget. Much of the debate centred around the ongoing transit crisis, the use of the late 1980s custom build transit garage at 330 Wentworth Street North as a public works yard and office, and if it be more cost effective to return to using this garage for transit than building another transit garage.

HSR says the buses are awaiting replacement parts from engine manufacturer Cummins which recently changed its distribution channels – causing delays in the HSR receiving engines needed for warranty repairs on the 60 foot buses.

Stats finally released by the City show there is no job action by HSR operators, and that the HSR has a significant number of operators on short-term disability.
