Collins-Green-Farr Team Up to Fund 10 CityHousing Youth Pre-Apprenticeships Fixing Homes
A walk-on motion by Ward 5 Councillor Chad Collins, Ward 3 Councillor Matthew Green, and Ward 2 Councillor Jason Farr will see each use $17,500 in area rating funds to support the hiring of 10 youth from CityHousing units or on social assistance by The Threshold School of Building for a pre-apprenticeship program renovating 24 social housing units.

Hamilton Street Railway Expecting Transit Fare Shortfall of $1.1-million in 2016
The HSR is expecting to see a $1.6-million shortfall in 2016 with the majority of the shortfall due to lower than expected fare revenues. Overtime and a half-million overbudget in parts contributing to shortfall.
