Hamilton Paramedic Deputy Chief Cliff Eggleton is the next General Manager of Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service (GWPS) and Paramedic Chief.

The announcement was made earlier this month. He begins in Guelph-Wellington on August 4th.

In a media advisory sent yesterday (Monday, July 20, 2026), the Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre states it will hold its “ribbon cutting event for HART Hub Hamilton’s Residential Treatment Site” next Monday, July 27.
The advisory does not state when the Hub will open. There is a legal challenge pending at the Superior Court regarding the City’s decision that the treatment facility is a permitted use within the existing zoning.
