Census 2021 Hamilton: Population Growth in Downtown, Binbrook, Upper Stoney Creek, Waterdown

Hamilton’s population increased by 32,436 between the 2016 and 2021 censuses, bringing our total population estimate to 569,353 people, an increase of 6.04 percent from the 2016 population estimate of 536,917.

2021 StatsCan Annual Population Estimates Show GTA’ers Moving to Hamilton

Data released in January showed nearly 5,000 people moved to Hamilton from other parts of the GTA between July 1, 2020, and July 1, 2021.  The Census metropolitan area data is available here, Hamilton’s CMA includes Burlington and Grimsby.

Ontario Securities Commission Orders Hearing Against Harry Stinson

The staff of the Ontario Securities Commission allege Hamilton developer Harry Stinson violated the Ontario Securities Act making “false or misleading statements to investors,” and improperly transferring investor funds intended for Stinson’s Buffalo Grand Hotel project into other projects and accounts controlled by Stinson.

Hamilton Farmers Market Chair and Treasurer Both Resign in Protest
