CityHousing Hamilton 2003 Financials
CHH is the first City department to complete its 2023 financial statements. In February 2024, the City of Hamilton experienced a significant cybersecurity failure, losing nearly all data on its servers. The City did not have separate backups of its data.
This is why CHH is presenting its 2023 financials in 2025.
Of note in the financials:
Rent revenue was $426,461 above projections. Reasons include decreased vacancies, families remaining in CHH units while their incomes have improved to pay market rate, and fewer delinquent payments.
CHH wrote-off more debt than forecast.
An unfavourable variance of $3.085,197 was booked due to increased costs for security, waste removal, and grounds maintenance.
CHH’s vacancy rate dropped to two percent.
