The Province of Ontario announced this year’s gas tax allocations on Friday.

Hamilton will receive $12,389,845 this year, an increase from last year’s $12,006,354.

The gas tax is distributed using a formula that includes transit ridership. Mississauga’s funding is increasing to $23,363,091 from $19,658,102. Both London, Kingston, and Ottawa will have decreased funding in 2024.

    This money should be directly spent on roads the roads in Hamilton are terrible the main problem is when they cut up the road to put in a service they don’t fix it properly
