The City of Hamilton issued a required Planning Act notice on Friday that a complete application for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment has been amended for a proposed 12-storey “purpose-built rental building” at 520 Highway No. 8 in Stoney Creek, located on the southwest corner at Dewitt Road.
The proposal is 161 units, with ground floor commercial, and 106 vehicle parking spaces.
“The previous proposal was for a 38.3 metre, 11 storey building, the revised proposal is for a 39.2 metre, 12 storey building with increased sideyard setbacks and stepbacks. Parking has been increased from 103 spaces to 106 spaces while dwellings units, commercial floor area and bicycle parking remain the same,” reads the City website notice description.
The development is scheduled to be heard by Planning Committee on September 1.
