The Ontario Land Tribunal has set aside 14 days to hear arguments from three parties regarding a proposed 158-resident unit mid-rise building of up to seven storeys proposed for the northeast corner of Rousseaux Street and Wilson Street in Ancaster

The corporate owners of the lands, 2691893 Ontario Inc., c/o Adakite, decided to bypass Hamilton City Council by filing a non-decision appeal late last year.

During a first case management conference in February, the OLT granted party status to a neighbouring couple, Dan and Rita Faulkner, and directed the three parties (the owners, the Faulkners, and the City of Hamilton) to agree upon on a draft procedural order and issues list.

The issues to be determined by the OLT include: building height, neighbourhood character, privacy overlook, natural heritage, municipal infrastructure capacity, and public interest.

The 14 day hearing is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 2, 2027, and is scheduled to end on Friday, March 19, 2027.
