Pelham’s Mayor wants the new chair to be chosen from the current members of Niagara regional council.
RCMP Investigates Calgary’s Former Mayor Jyoti Gondek and a Sitting City Councillor: The Globe and Mail is reporting, “RCMP have executed search warrants at the homes of former Calgary mayor Jyoti Gondek and a sitting city councillor, in an investigation that began in October.”
Calgary Downzoning Meeting Continues: As noted yesterday, Calgarians voted in 2025 to elect a council that promised to reverse a 2024 city-wide rezoning that permits missing middle housing in neighbourhoods. The multi-day council meeting began on Monday, and continued on Tuesday.
Yet Another Bill Dennis Controversy: Sarnia Councillor Bill Dennis is not apologizing for his latest scandalous comments. This followed an urgent special meeting of Sarnia Council which passed a motion calling on Dennis to apologize.
