The City of Hamilton’s new waterfront ‘trolley’ is late due to the manufacturer lacking a electrical component needed to complete the unit.

Hamilton Waterfront Trust Executive Director Christian Wiley said this week that a timeline for delivery is not yet available.

“We’re in constant conversation with [the manufacturer] regarding what the compensation will be.”

Wiley stated the Trust, which is now defacto a City department, has “done a calculation of loss revenue.”

He stated the contract was awarded “based on their ability to nail down that delivery date” before the peak summer season.
