The City of Hamilton’s former General Manager of Planning and Economic Development, Jason Thorne, has joined Stantec.
The company announced Friday that Thorne will “join the firm’s Urban Places practice as sector leader for Canada.”
Thorne announced his departure from the City of Hamilton in March, after working for the City for nearly a decade.
Stantec is a wide-ranging company operating in various fields including engineering and urban planning.
Thorne will work out of Stantec’s Toronto office.
