The Hamilton Police Service Board cancelled today’s (June 30, 2026) Governance Committee meeting without any notice or reason provided for the cancellation.

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. inside Hamilton City Hall.

Last week, Council Citizen appointee Anjali Menezes unexpectedly resigned and called for Ontario’s Solicitor General to dissolve the Board.

The resignation decreased the number of members on the Governance Committee to three: Councillor Cameron Kroetsch, and Provincial appointees Don Robertson and Robin St. Jean.
