Scene Investigation
The investigation focused on two locations: in front of St Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church at 1401 Barton Street East, and in front of the Shoppers Drug Mart at the Centre on Barton at 1183 Barton Street East.

Police investigators were seen recovering evidence, a possible small metal object, from the curb in front of the church. They measured and inspected damage to the church fence metres from where the bullet casing was discovered.

A extensive search of nearby foliage and flashlight checks of nearby structures was conducted.

In the parking lot in front of the Shoppers Drug Mart, police were examining a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck that had a bullet hole visible in the passenger side mirror. Both passenger side windows were shattered.

Police are expected to issue a statement overnight with more details.
