Applicants who want to be Hamilton’s next General Manager of Public Works have four weeks to refine their curriculum vitae and submit their applications. The job was posted earlier today, with an application deadline of May 30.
It was only 10 days ago that City Manager Marnie Cluckie decided to end the employment of the previous GM (along with one of two GMs in community services).
Nine days ago, I wrote:
“The City can ill afford to take even 14 weeks, let alone 14 months, to hire the next General Manager of Public Works.”
(The previous GM of Planning and Economic Development left nearly 14 months ago.)
Yesterday, Cluckie stated organizational structure changes are forthcoming. She is not yet hiring a replacement for the community services GM.
I’ll publish a news story on Cluckie’s plans in the coming days.
