Mountain residents can now ride the streets on a rental e-scooter.
In a written update to City Council, Hamilton’s Acting Director of Transportation Planning Steve Molloy states Bird Canada will expand its rental service to Mountain neighbourhoods between the Escarpment and Mohawk Road.
“The launch of the mountain expansion area is planned for Friday, May 9, 2025, and will
increase over following weeks. The total fleet size of E-scooters is now at 900, with 600
located across the lower-City and 300 located across the mountain expansion area.”
There was plenty of social media chatter over the weekend as people began using the service in the expansion area.
