Hamilton’s Planning Committee will now debate an Ancaster subdivision application for 17 single-detached houses in late May.
City staff say the public notice board displayed at 387 – 409 & 429 Hamilton Drive in Ancaster did not meet statutory notice requirements because the date of today’s hearing was not posted sufficiently in advance.
Council received many letters opposing the proposal, many of which focused on the planned removal of 659 trees from the lands that are presently a woodlot.
The hearing is rescheduled to the April 29 planning committee meeting.
