The Hamilton Police Services Board issued a public notice late Thursday evening stating it will release its 2025 budget request at its December 17 meeting.

The statement says the service will request a 5.7 percent increase compared to the $214.8-million budgeted in 2024.

The Board did not release any budget details or further information.

The Police Board states it will accept written public comment on the budget until Monday, December 9, by email c/o Board Administrator Kirsten Stevenson at kirsten.stevenson@hamilton.ca.
