Conservation Halton is asking the City of Hamilton for a 3.75 percent levy funding increase for 2025.

Approximately 7.21 percent of the Halton watershed is located within the City of Hamilton, making the City of Hamilton responsible for funding this percentage of the authority’s municipal tax levy.

If the requested increase is approved, the City of Hamilton will send Conservation Halton $880,729 in 2025, up from $849,991 in 2024.

Conservation Halton is forecasting to spend $65,334,193 in 2025, a significant jump from its $50.2-million budget for 2024. The increase is for increased capital spending. Non-levy sources are funding the increased capital spending.
