Hamilton City Council voted 12-3 in favour of a closed session decision for a "Lease Extension and Amending Agreement" for the City's Ontario Works office at 250 Main Street East.

For reasons they are not permitted to reveal, three members of City Council voted against a “Lease Extension and Amending Agreement” for the City’s Ontario Works office at 250 Main Street East.

The three councillors who voted against the closed session decision were Maureen Wilson, Cameron Kroetsch, and Brad Clark. Twelve council members voted in favour, with Alex Wilson absent.

No information was released to the public.

  1. I don’t understand why the 3 would vote against it. Strange council this year. Not sure where they would want to move it to.

  2. Strange council this year? How about the last 8 years and yet same councilors get voted in every election! I guess voters figure the devil you know better than the devil you don’t know. Much like ward 3 councilor Nann. Last 2 election cycles, her big news was handicap swings in public parks! Nice but many larger problems facing the city. Remember Redhill parkway, Cootes Paradise ect ect. Nothing coucil clowns do surprises me, disappoints yes, surprise no!
