A proposal for 136 new rental units at 89 to 109 Ashley Street in Ward 3 is almost ready for a City Council rezoning vote, but first, its design will be considered by Hamilton’s Design Review Panel on August 8, 2024.

Tyros Development submitted its first plans to the City of Hamilton in 2021, held a public meeting in 2023, submitted revisions in spring, and made further revisions following a staff development review meeting in May.

Building Stats

The 19.8 metre six-storey building will have a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. Existing zoning permits three-storeys.
