Fred Bennink Resigns from Hamilton Police Board Ahead of Replacement Being Named by Council

Fred Bennink has resigned as the Council citizen appointee on the Hamilton Police Services Board.

Bennink submitted his resignation to the Office of the City Clerk on November 3. Bennink stated he applied for another term on the Board.

Council’s special Hamilton Police Services Board Selection Committee has confidentially narrowed their choices to two candidates, with Council to approve one of them as the new appointee.

Bennink ran for the Ontario Progressive Conservatives as their 2022 candidate in the riding of Hamilton West–Ancaster–Dundas.
