Ontario’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Steve Clark announced a new “Housing Supply Action Plan Implementation Team” to make recommendations on how the province can build more housing and enable more home ownership.
The team will be chaired by Drew Dilkens, the Mayor of Windsor, with Mayor of Hornepayne Cheryl Fort as vice-chair.
The seven other team members are from the housing industry, non-profit housing associations, and co-ops.
Ontario’s Big City Mayors issued a statement stating they are “pleased” at the activation of the Implementation Team.
The team will meet in the coming weeks, states the government press release.
