Everyone Can Be Happy with 100% Metrolinx Control, Even City Council

I can’t think of the anytime Hamiltonians weren’t divided on a LRT decision, but this week’s confirmation that Metrolinx will be make all the decisions on, build, and operating Hamilton’s new LRT is attracting no dissident in Hamilton.
Not even a comment about dreaded Toronto bureaucrats making decisions in Hamilton.

Green Issues Notice for Vision Zero in Hamilton

Per Diems for RCF Increased, Funded Spaces Decreased to Maintain Budget.

The City is increasing the per diem for its subsidized residential care facilities (RCFs) from $48.25 to $50, and scaling back the number of subsidies to afford the increase without increasing the overall budget.

Sympathetic Council Declines to Replace Federal Funding for Trusteeship Program

A year ago, changes in federal funding priorities ended funding to local trusteeship program. Council gave stop-gap transitional funding. That funding is expired, but not before advocates asked the Council to backfill the federal funding. Council calls for increased federal funding for homelessness prevention.
