The Ontario Land Tribunal has issued the procedural order resulting from the Wednesday June 11, 2025 first case management conference.
In the written decision, a OLT Vice-Chair granted participant status a few more individuals than were verbally approved on June 11.
In a departure from usual practice, OLT Vice-Chair William Middleton initally indicated he would not approve written participant requests. Following arguments from lawyers for both the developer and the City, Middleton agreed the OLT would contact requesters to confirm they did in fact wish to submit a written statement.
Seven people have been granted participant status.
Valery Group is seeking to build two 20-storey buildings. The original proposal included 685 rental units.
A 20-day contest hearing will begin on April 13, 2026.
