In early 2020, Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger moved cuts to HSR bus services by cutting Sunday evening service on lower ridership routes and cutting holiday service hours.

Last week, on June 6, the HSR announced the cuts will be reversed beginning in September.

“We’re reintroducing full holiday service on all routes that provide service on Sundays,” the website states.

Routes 6 Aberdeen, 7 Locke, 8 York, will have “longer service hours seven days a week,” indicating Sunday late evening service will resume.

Route 52 Dundas Local will operate seven days a week.

Routes 20 A-Line, 11 Parkdale, 43 Stone Church, and 51 University will have additional service and hours.
