It is the start of Council committee week.

Today, there are three meetings at City Hall: Public Health, Public Works, and Heritage Permit Review.

During the 1:30 p.m. Public Works Committee meeting, the owner of 94 Kingsview Drive will delegate to Council requesting that they not follow through with an order for him to remove structures he built on City of Hamilton open lands adjacent to his property. Will the Council stick to bylaws and policy, or will they risk a precedent by accepting $150,000 compensation for the land?

The Ontario Land Tribunal is scheduled to begin a hearing involving an industrial subdivision application beside the airport.

It is a short week following a holiday Monday. This means the Tuesday Planning Committee meeting is moved to Friday.

No other City Hall events are scheduled for today. Here’s a brief summary of today’s meetings:

All meetings at Hamilton City Hall unless otherwise noted.
