In a written update to City Council, City of Hamilton Acting Director of Corporate Facilities Chris Herstek states that reconstruction work on the Woodlands Park washroom is underway and will be completed in late summer.

The park washroom structure was significantly damaged on January 2, 2024, when a fire began within an encampment that the City permitted directly beside the structure.

The City budget for the repair is $1.3-million.
