Hamilton’s Lincoln Alexander Parkway will be closed for annual maintenance beginning on Friday, May 23, and continuing on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25.
The highway will reopen at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, May 26.
The eastbound (towards the Red Hill) highway closure will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday May 23.
Westbound (towards Highway 403) highway closure will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The Red Hill Parkway will remain open, with traffic entering and exiting at Dartnall Road.
The City states it will conduct “localized asphalt repairs, mill-and-pave
resurfacing in designated sections, catch basin cleaning, bridge maintenance, graffiti
removal, ditching, vegetation control, pavement marking, and signage repairs” during the three-day closure.
Major traffic slowdowns are expected throughout Hamilton during the closure, and HSR public transit service will experience delays.

I take the red hill every morning and I get off at upper gage will this closer effect my comute. I’m coming from lower stoney creek. Is there another way to get to upper gage with out taking the red hill. Thanks
