Expect a long Council meeting today as councillors deal with the Barton/Tiffany outdoor shelter fiasco, the latest chapter of the saga being that $7.9-million was spent when Council only approved $2.8-million for capital cost.

The Assessment Review Board will hear a tax appeal from the development of the new rental building at 49 Walnut Street South (the new tall building on Main Street), the OLT continues with 1400 South Service Road, and a Town Hall tonight in Ward 2.

All meetings are at Hamilton City Hall unless otherwise noted.

Ontario Land Tribunal

1400 South Service Road (Stoney Creek), 10 a.m.

Day seven of the nine-day hearing regarding a proposed mixed-use (primarily residential) proposal for designated employment lands at 1400 South Service Road in Stoney Creek.

The hearing is by videoconference.

The City continues its evidence today. City Planner James Van Rooi will present expert witness testimony in the morning. He will be cross-examined following the lunch break.

Following Van Rooi’s cross-examination, City Natural Heritage Planner Melissa Kiddie will present evidence for the final portion of the day.
