Students in the CityLab program held public engagement sessions in recent weeks on a range of civic issues.
I saw notices for a consultation on the Steelport redevelopment of the former Stelco lands and another on engagement processes for the City of Hamilton.
On Monday, November 11, around 30 people gathered at McMaster’s Jackson Square campus to share thoughts and ideas on how to make the redevelopment a success for the community.
Ward 4 Councillor Tammy Hwang was among the attendees.
She described the event as a good opportunity for public input and noted it was an opportunity for everyone in the room to learn.
The CityLab program is a joint initiative between the City of Hamilton, McMaster University, Mohawk College, and Redeemer University College.
