At its July meeting, the Hamilton Farmers’ Market Board of Directors discussed with market vendor loading dock parking issues, staff hiring, and market programming.
The Board was told the City of Hamilton cannot provide any financial statements due to the ongoing impact of the cybersecurity failure.
The market has hired a part-time administrative support staff and a part-time programming coordinator.
Furniture is being added to the vacant space facing onto York Boulevard, with plans to activate the space on Saturdays. During the week, the space will be open for people to eat.
Vendor representatives deal with an insider vendor issue – the loading dock. The market has a time limit for the loading dock, which is now being enforced after years of a vendor director (no longer on the Board) parking at the dock.
Too long, won’t read version: vendor directors want to permit some time-limited parking at the dock.
The Market Board meets each month on the first Monday at City Hall, except for holidays, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The next meeting is August 12, due to the Civic Holiday.
