The City’s project manager’s project manager for the urban Indigenous strategy Nicole Jones has left the City for a new job “working to help with day school survivors.”
The City’s senior project manager for urban Indigenous strategy Shelly Hill announced the news to members of Hamilton’s Aboriginal Advisory Committee on Thursday.
The City will hire a replacement for Jones, and there is staff supporting the strategy during the hiring person, Hill said.
Members of the AAC praised Jones for her work and commitment.
She “will be a hard act to follow,” said one member.
“She will be missed,” said another.
