'WoodGate' Selected for King William Art Beacon and Gateway
City Hall appointed a jury to review six shortlisted submissions, and the jury selected WoodGate by Team Make.
“Given its size and dramatic lighting, the proposed work will be impactful both day and night and can easily become a local landmark. The proposed seating adds an interactive component not present in some other proposals”, the jury report states.

Hamilton Airport Tells Council COVID Downturn May Decrease Revenue to City
While cargo is at record levels, Hamilton’s international airport is reporting a 51.1% year-over-year decrease in passenger traffic in the first half of 2020. The airport expects by the end of the year, passenger traffic will be down 65 to 70 percent.

City of Hamilton Backs Down on Requirements for Pickup Truck Parking in New Developments
City Council implemented a minimum parking stall width of 3.0m requiring all new mixed-use development to make all parking spots fit large pick-up trucks. The plan would’ve driven up unit prices across Hamilton, and stifle some new multi-storey building construction.
